insect ecology + conservation

Hi! I am an insect ecologist interested in bumble bee natural history, community ecology, and population genetics.

Recent past and near future

Based in Madison, WI. In January 2021, I started a PhD in Dr. Claudio Gratton's lab at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. My dissertation research focuses on whether prairie restorations are an effective method for long term conservation of bumble bees.

Distant past

Texas-born and Wisconsin-raised. I had the privilege of having access to the outdoors from a young age, where my curiosity about and love for the world around me was born. I earned my B.S. degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2016, where I double majored in Entomology and Environmental Studies.
